摘要: Solvent extraction, utilizing an oil/water mixture (e.g., chloroform/water) and a suitable complexant, is proven technology for the selective removal recovery of metal ions from aqueous solutions.1,2 Solving increasing number ion separation problems has typically focused on finding appropriate extractant, making it as lipophilic possible, determining best diluent. This often meant use expensive extractants volatile, toxic, organic diluents. In addition, extracted species usually dehydrated partitioned pair. Whole classes water soluble cannot be utilized in these systems.
