摘要: A method for separating long, unwound items like fiber, fiber strands, yarn, etc. having a liquid chemical sizing on the surfaces into short lengths by chopping is disclosed. Improved life achieved using blades, or at least blade edges of cemented tungsten carbide, and selecting sizings pH about 7 greater to apply being chopped. Also disclosed are blades sharp coated with various materials including material selected from group consisting titanium nitride, diamond carbon, polycrystalline diamond, cubic boron mixture two more these materials. These can be used separate both neutral, basic acidic thereon
