摘要: Abstract This paper discusses palynological investigations and new 230Th/U ages of two Upper Middle Pleistocene sequences the formerly glaciated Northern German Lowlands, Reinsdorf sequence at open mine Schoningen, Lower Saxony North Friesian site Leck. New late interglacial organic layers archaeological lake margin ranging from 280 to 343 ka give evidence for a correlation those deposits with Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 9. Near long distance by means Holsteinian related continental their MIS is discussed. Isotopic uranium thorium organic-rich mud core Leck 8 point an open-system, age estimation 230Th/U-dating remains therefore unclear. Compared other warm periods in Germany, correlations Leck-Interglacial can be excluded. In comparison sediment successions Nachtigall section Hoxter Ottostrase Gottingen, discussed as correlative temperate phase 7.
