Heavy metals: assessment of exposure, effects and antidotal efficiency.

摘要: Key results of the national research project supported by Croatian Ministry Science and Technology 1996.-1999. (grant No. 00220102) have been presented under same title. The presentation comprised following main results: 1) Metal exposure assessment: data on metal assessment lead cadmium in vegetables continental rural area ; mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic content fish mussels from Adriatic Sea 2) effects: tissue progesterone concentrations placentas experimental rats vs. human relation to due smoking habits 3) Antidotes for reducing body retention: highlights evaluation efficacy treatments or retention laboratory animals using chelating agents, meso- racemic domercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA). References respective articles published scientific journals are given.
