摘要: Leadership in the implementation of innovations involves not only understanding distinct constructs leadership, implementation, and innovation, but it also requires a deeper their intersections. In this article, we have chosen an integrative approach focusing on relationships among these three constructs. We begin first, however, with brief review classical history literature planned change, diffusion, implementation. then adopted conceptual framework grounded complex theories (see Maguire et al., 2006) as lens for tensions across constructs, innovation. so doing, emphasize uniqueness educational which makes possible to study how societal institutional barriers continued influence constrain policies, theories, practices. Our contribution ends critical overview leadership research, focuses change has progressed, beginning 1982 publication Michael Fullan’s seminal text The Meaning Educational Change. nine concluding themes identified deliberate choices available leaders. Over quarter century ago, Fullan concluded that educators “can no longer hide behind excuse worthwhile practice through means is impossible” (p. 297).
