摘要: The seriousness in magnitude of physical violence globally, and lack information on the dimensions context problem Ethiopia is very visible. A cross-sectional survey was conducted Meskanena Mareko Woreda, Southern Ethiopia, from November 1 to 30, 1995 assess magnitude, type outcomes against married women. total 673 women were included study. study found out overall prevalence be 45% 10% their lifetime last three months, respectively. Two hundred twenty nine (76%) 39 (60%) month's physically abused respectively, slapped with fist. Four (1%) have been using a knife or gun. Among 303 women, 161 (53%) reported minor serious somatic injuries lifetime. One (46%) them had acquired lacerations scars; 22 (7%) fracture dislocation; 5 (2%) lost vision.
