摘要: Publisher Summary In this chapter, the developments of past decade have been evaluated. Computer semantics for natural language analysis has emerged as a significant subfield activity, and ideas on how syntax interact in an intimate way resulted interesting understanding system. Sophisticated convenient programming languages, such PLANNER, promise to aid greatly problems representation knowledge deduction. Central development is insight that really vacuous unless it related action, thus should be represented procedures. Automatic programming, which very high-level seems opening up area with potential practical advances. The late 1960's saw Greenblatt program chess, doing quite well middle game. Several other games programmed varying degrees success. study learning systems, most useful progress made structural learning, emphasis proper training sequences. Heuristic search studied mathematically some theorems discovered. Analysis scenes containing polyhedra become sophisticated over years. Finally, relevance Artificial Intelligence (AI) cognitive psychology becoming more apparent; fact, science intelligence, AI can legitimately looked upon falling squarely within field psychology. material organized following sections: Language Processing; Some Aspects Representation, Inference, Planning; Programming; Game Playing Programs; Learning Search; Pattern Recognition Scene Analysis; Cognitive Psychology AI.
