摘要: A comparison between a large plankton trap with capacity of 23 litres and modern towed net was made in the course zooplankton production studies Baltic. On average, efficiency 75% that trap. Both methods were equally efficient catching naupliar stages copepods. The especially low during maximum for adult copepods cladocerans (41 51%, respectively), probably due to active avoidance by fast swimming species. only about 66% as rotifers. This difference is caused loss small softbodied forms through mesh. Only 65% total biomass retained collected net. Net sampling not recommended quantitative studies.
