摘要: Self-grooming is a complex innate behaviour with an evolutionarily conserved sequencing pattern and one of the most frequently performed behavioural activities in rodents. In this Review, we discuss neurobiology rodent self-grooming, highlight studies models neuropsychiatric disorders--including autism spectrum disorder obsessive compulsive disorder--that have assessed self-grooming phenotypes. We suggest that may be useful measure repetitive such models, therefore value to translational psychiatry. Assessment also for understanding neural circuits are involved sequential patterns action.
