摘要: Using a conditioned passive place avoidance paradigm, we investigated the relative importance of three experimental parameters on learning and memory in salticid, Servaea incana. Spiders encountered an aversive electric shock stimulus paired with one side two-sided arena. Our were ecological relevance visual stimulus, time interval between trials before test. We either black or white as prior studies our laboratory have demonstrated that S. incana prefer dark 'safe' regions to light ones. additionally evaluated influence two temporal features (time test) memory. exposed learned associate background cue, but extent which they did so was dependent present trials. trained long (24 h) maintained performance throughout training, whereas spiders short (10 min) only when safe black. When white, worsened steadily over time. There no difference tested after These results suggest stimuli used duration can jumping spiders.
