摘要: Objective Immigrants are recognized as a hard-to-reach-population. This study describes and assesses three-year follow-up experience (final sample) with immigrant workers who participated in survey three years earlier (initial sample), compares both samples the final sample. Methods In 2008 personal was carried out among 2434 (ITSAL I Project). Of these, 1229 had provided telephone number allowing future recontact. 2011, they were contacted for participation second project II Outcome response rates of American Association Public Opinion Research calculated. Sociodemographic labour characteristics initial compared. sample, sociodemographic distribution variables compared by country origin. Legal status, economic sector occupation changes during this time analyzed. Results The proportion those interviewed fully answered interview (response rate) 29.5%. sample higher Ecuadorians, women, persons older than 45 highest education level. Romanian Moroccan participants unemployment (45.1%, 40.0%). Overall, 71.1% did not change sector, 63.2% improved their legal situation. Conclusions Our rate is similar to studies. Re-contact more difficult some groups, depending on origin, age, level situation; alternative means followup should be sought out.
