摘要: This study attempted to assess the degree of knowledge diagnosis, and attitude towards that information, in a group terminally ill cancer patients. We also tried determine influence diagnosis on other patient psychosocial needs. assessed 97 patients (64 an oncology service, 33 palliative care unit) by means semistructured personal interview, needs questionnaire. Data collected showed 68% had not been informed their diagnosis; 60% this high suspicion but 42% noninformed did want receive more information. Information appears be beneficial establishing satisfactory relationships communication between relatives staff. have answer most relevant issues related disclosure our clinical setting, questioning feasibility truth telling within cultural boundaries.
