摘要: Seven species of cornulitids are systematically described from the Silurian Saaremaa and Hiiumaa islands, Estonia. There three in Rhuddanian, Sheinwoodian, single Gorstian Ludfordian, Pridoli. Cornulitids have a facies range pelletal limestones shoal environments to deeper ramp marls. Endobiotic cornulitid symbionts occur stromatoporoids found open shelf zones. Gregarious aggregates restricted zone possibly because higher nutrient levels waters as compared those ramp. Unattached free forms especially common offshore marls presumably due their adaption life on soft bottom. Solitary attached all zones where present. Because modes closely associated with particular zones, they useful tools for paleoecological reconstructions.
