摘要: Many women are unprepared to make prenatal decisions about fetuses diagnosed with Down Syndrome because of societal pressures have "normal" children, a negative view persons disabilities by many in society, fear legal liability those the medical community, lack genuine informed consent before undergoing genetic testing and abortion, failure non-directive pre-abortion counseling community. Moreover, professionals fail communicate correct unbiased information during screening, diagnostic testing, abortion decision-making process. This article addresses contributing factors causes that ultimately lead very high rate for Syndrome.
