摘要: Abstract Using a barotropic coastal ocean model with straight coastline and uniform cross-shelf bottom slope, seven different open boundary conditions (four of which are applied in either implicit or explicit form) compared three numerical experiments. 1) A mound water is allowed to collapse radiate waves toward the boundaries. 2) alongshelf wind stress at zero time over entire shelf held constant for duration experiment. 3) The condition most transparent consists sponge outer edge domain an Orlanski radiation sponge.
