摘要: Fear-avoidance beliefs have been identified as an important psychosocial variable in patients with chronic disability doe to low back pain. The importance of fear-avoidance for individuals acute pain has not explored. Seventy-eight subjects work-related less than 3 weeks'duration were studied. Measurements intensity, physical impairment, disability, nonorganic signs and symptoms, depression taken at the initial evaluation. measured work activity subscales Beliefs Questionnaire. Disability status re-assessed after 4 weeks therapy. Patterns correlation between other concurrently-measured variables similar those reported did explain a significant amount variability levels controlling intensity impairment. about predictors 4-week even type therapy received. are present pain, may be factor explaining transition from conditions. Screening useful identifying risk prolonged absence.
