摘要: The default network of the human brain has drawn much attention due to its relevance various disorders, cognition, and behavior. However, functional components boundaries have not been precisely defined. There is no consensus as whether precuneus, a hub in connectome, acts part This discrepancy more critical for development aging studies: it clear age stronger impact on or both. We used Generalized Ranking Averaging Independent Component Analysis by Reproducibility (gRAICAR) investigate lifespan trajectories intrinsic networks. By estimating individual-specific spatial aligning them across subjects, gRAICAR measures variation component maps population without constraining same appear every subject In cross-lifespan fMRI dataset (N = 126, 7-85 years old), we observed dependence pattern precuneus-dorsal posterior cingulate cortex compared network, despite fact that two networks exhibit considerable overlap temporal correlation. These results remained even when analyses were restricted subpopulation with very similar head motion age. Our further showed tend merge increasing Post-hoc connectivity confirmed distinguishable between Based these observations, proposed dynamic model segregation integration networks, suggesting precuneus may different role than which declines findings implications understanding roles gaining insight into dynamics throughout life, guiding interpretation alterations disorders.
