摘要: Optical burst switching (OBS) is a promising technique for supporting high-capacity, bursty data traffic over optical wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) networks. An link failure may result in huge amount of (and revenue) loss, and it has been an important survivability concern In this paper, we study the fault- management issues related with OBS network. We propose to use pre-planned global rerouting balance network load reroute bursts after fails. apply optimization techniques pre-plan explicit backup routes scenarios. Our objective achieve optimal balancing both before such that state can still remain stable minimum burst-loss probability when occurs. normal routing tables network, performance occur using illustrative numerical examples. The results show average be significantly reduced by 60% - from 0.10 0.04 (when normalized less than 0.5) globally-rerouted routes, compared scheme without rerouting. also observe 43% 0.07 if done techniques, shortest-path routing.for Fault Management
