摘要: With certain (but not all) vernier acuity (VeA) stimulus displays observers exhibit no or slight performance decrements with aging. Because three-point VeA test are much more easily applied experimentally and clinically, we examined visual on this task as a function of age. Ages groups tested ranged from 20 to 70+ years (some individuals were 90+ old). Eyes monocularly. We three- two-point sharply defined arrays ground-glass-degraded display (simulating 20/100 nuclear cataract). Gap feature separations varied. Results obtained the showed little alteration Image degradation resulted in reduction when small gap used between points, but only for large recorded. The finding that targets is largely unaffected by age confirmed expanded.
