Participants surveyed to whether e-cigarette use was associated longitudinal changes COPD progression smoking habits. From 2010 2016, participants had ever steadily increased 12–16%, but from 2014 2016 stable ~5%. E-cigarette African-Americans (AA) whites similar; however, AA 1.8–2.9 times likely menthol-flavored e-cigarettes. Current conventional cigarette users higher nicotine dependence consumed more than those smoked only cigarettes. heavier history worse respiratory health, less reduce quit smoking, dependence, report bronchitis exacerbations. Ever rapid decline lung function, this trend did not persist after adjustment persistent smoking. use, which is common COPD, pulmonary-related health outcomes, Although an observational study, we find no evidence supporting harm reduction strategy among COPD.
