摘要: In this paper, we outline the present status of design studies for high-luminosity Large Hadron Collider, focusing on choice aperture inner triplet quadrupoles. After reviewing some critical aspects such as energy deposition, shielding, heat load, and protection, main tentative parameters building a 150-mm-aperture Nb3Sn quadrupole, based experience gathered by LARP program in past several years.
