摘要: The epidemic of childhood obesity is associated with an increased incidence cardiovascular risk factors, adult obesity, and obesity-related comorbidity. In this review article we highlight existing data on approaches to the management obesity. There are currently three main treatment modalities for obesity: a) lifestyle modifications, which include exercise, diet, counseling, combination these, b) pharmacotherapy, may have a role in select group overweight adolescents, c) bariatric surgery. drugs considered pediatric orlistat, sibutramine metformin. Only first two approved by Food Drug Administration (FDA) long-term Safety efficacy not been determined beyond 4 years orlistat 2 sibutramine.
