摘要: Abstract Background Recent clinical studies have shown that the dorsal motor nucleus of vagus nerve is one brain areas are earliest affected by α-synuclein and Lewy body pathology in Parkinson's disease. This observation raises question: how dysfunction affects dopamine system brain? Methods The rats underwent surgical implantation microchip (MC) abdominal region vagus. In this study, we examined effect chronic, unilateral electrical stimulation left vagus, two different types: low-frequency (MCL) physiological (MCPh) on serotonin metabolism determined high-pressure chromatography with electrochemical detection rat structures. Results MCL contrast to MCPh stimulation, produced a significant inhibition Ex vivo biochemical experiments clearly suggest opposite impaired function similarly vagotomy. Conclusion We close relationship between peripheral impairment first report such which may mental changes (pro-depressive) could occur stage disease far ahead impairment.
