摘要: Metabolic activities of four Bacillus strains to transform glucose into hydrogen (H2) and polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) in two stages were investigated this study. Under batch culture conditions, thuringiensis EGU45 cereus EGU44 evolved 1.67–1.92 mol H2/mol glucose, respectively during the initial 3 days incubation at 37°C. In next 2 days, residual solutions along with B. shaken 200 rpm was found produce PHB yield 11.3% dry cell mass. This is first report among non-photosynthetic microbes, where spp.—B. have been shown H2 same medium under different conditions.
