摘要: Objective Measuring physical activity in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is of great importance light the increased mortality this population due to cardiovascular disease. Validation monitors specific populations recommended ensure accuracy measurement. Thus, purpose study was determine validity SenseWear Pro3 Armband (SWA) as a measure during activities daily living (ADL) RA. Methods Fourteen subjects (8 men and 6 women) diagnosis RA were recruited from rheumatology clinics at Mid-Western Regional Hospitals, Limerick, Ireland. Participants undertook series ADL varying intensities. The SWA compared criterion measures Oxycon Mobile indirect calorimetry system (energy expenditure kJ) manual video observation (step count). Bland Altman, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), analyses done using SPSS, version 19.0. Results The showed substantial agreement (ICC 0.717, P < 0.001) strong relationship (Pearson's = 0.852) when estimating energy ADL. However, it found that overestimated expenditure, particularly higher intensity levels. ability estimate step counts poor 0.304, 0.038). Conclusion The can be considered valid tool population; however, attention should paid its tendency overestimate expenditure.
