摘要: Plasma clearance in the rat of a furan dicarboxylic acid which accumulates uremia. The 3-carboxy-4-methyl-5-propyl-2-furanpropanoic (5-propyl FPA) plasma patients with chronic renal failure and has been implicated several aspects uremic syndrome: defective binding organic acids plasma, inhibition active tubular secretion, anemia severity neurological symptoms. Evidence from experiments kidney slices suggests that 5-propyl FPA undergoes so its after an intravenous bolus dose (5 mg/kg; 21 µ mol/kg) was investigated anaesthetized female Wistar albino rats vivo . effects doses p-aminohippuric (PAH) probenecid on this were also studied. mean values ( N = 16) for half-life, apparent volume distribution 3.6 hours, 2.4 ml · min −1 kg 0.69 liter , respectively. An equimolar PAH did not affect FPA, but tenfold higher molar (40.4 mg/kg) increased area under plasma-concentration time curve there trend towards decrease prolongation half-life. Probenecid at fivefold than had similar effect to AUC FPA. decreased is evidence metabolite secretion. It follows could therefore inhibit secretion other acids.
