摘要: Low cost biosorbents have demonstrated outstanding removal capabilities of various metal ions. The present work has helped in identifying unreported, new, readily available low adsorbent, Syzygium cumini leaves powder for the biosorption Cu (II) from  ynthetic and electroplating wastewater, using column studies. experiments were conducted to study effect parameters viz., bed height (11.0, 17.0 21.0 cm), flow rate (2.0, 3.5 5.0 ml min−1) initial ion concentration (50, 100, 150 mg L-1).The percentage was maximum (75.90%) when cm used with 2.0 mL min-1 100 mgL-1 concentration. depth service time model (BDST) applied experimental data adsorption capacity (N ) obtained 247.36 g−1. o In optimized conditions effluent treated min-1. efficiency uptake (73.86%) first cycle found decrease successive cycles due gradual deterioration biosorbent because regeneration continuous usage. The regenerated by eluting 0.5 N NaOH after each cycle.
