摘要: Summary: In this study a description is given of the sequence and analysis 52 kb from 1.1 Mb genome Rickettsia prowazekii, member α-Proteobacteria. An investigation was made nucleotide frequencies amino acid composition patterns 41 coding sequences, distributed in 10 genomic contigs, which 32 were found to have putative homologues public databases. Overall, content individual contigs ranged 59 97%, with mean 81%. The genes putatively identified included involved biosynthesis nucleotides, macromolecules cell wall structures as well citric cycle component genes. addition, identification regulatory response family two-component signal transduction systems gene encoding haemolysin. For one gene, homologue metK, an internal stop codon discovered within region that otherwise highly conserved. Comparisons Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae Bacillus subtilis revealed several atypical organization R. prowazekii genome. example, unique arrangement upstream dnaA conserved among other microbial genomes thought represent origin replication primordial replicon. results presented paper support hypothesis derived provide examples order are for Rickettsia.
