摘要: 1. Auxin-induced wall loosening, as measured by the Instron extensometer technique, and conversion of loosening into extension, cell elongation, differ in their relationship to turgor pressure (TP). Wall can occur at any TP greater than zero while rapid extension only occurs when exceeds a critical value (Pc). 2. The amount auxin-induced increase extensibility is proportional region between Pc zero. In absence auxin, decreases slightly Pc. 3. A reassessment intact Avena coleoptiles has shown that it Pc. The sufficient permit turgor-driven elongation occur. 4. It proposed involves two steps, each which requires pressure. Covalent bonds render rigid are broken under tension auxin present tissue. Extension then hydrogen bonding polymers be excess
