摘要: One aspect of the invention provides a system, apparatus and method that allow wireless communication device to intelligently search for select cell based on system identifier (SID) network (NID) order preference rather than just pilot signal strength. Generally, mobile scans frequency channel associated with highest preferred SID/NID signals at different PN offsets. The strongest detected is queried determine whether it belongs sought. If selected offset sought then used communications. Otherwise, identification process repeated next same channel. no meeting these criteria are found in channel, repeated.
