摘要: A method and apparatus for session release in a communication system supporting Internet Protocol (IP) communications. In one embodiment, when the MS has lost bearer connection (i.e., PPP session), notification is provided by Packet Data Service Node (PDSN) to serving Session control Manager (SCM) via IP multicast. If two sessions are active given communication, not lost, PDSN associated with sends correction message ignore any sent other PDSN. an alternate Authentication Authorization Accounting (AAA) server uses start stop accounting requests, received from PDSNs, determine notify SCM terminate communication.
