摘要: Cardiovascular complications dominate the landscape of chronic kidney diseases (CKD). Endothelial cell dysfunction (ECD) is a well-known culprit cardiovascular morbidity and it develops in CKD with remarkable frequency. This brief overview ECD scans two decades studies performed my laboratory, from genetic analyses to proteomic metabolomics screens. I provide detailed description findings related premature senescence endothelial cells, transition mesenchymal phenotype, stages development ECD. Clinical utility some these illustrated data on laser-Doppler flowmetry imaging patients CKD. Some currently available emerging therapeutic options for management are briefly presented.
