摘要: Objective To determine the RR of severe injury associated with light truck vehicle (LTV) versus passenger (PV) mismatch following motor collisions across USA. Methods This was a retrospective cohort study primary outcomes Injury Severity Score (ISS) >8 and body region Abbreviated (AIS) >2. The National Automotive Sampling System Crashworthiness Data (NASS CDS) searched for occupants in frontal side impact crashes from 1993 to 2007. Occupants PVs struck by LTVs were compared PV another PV. Poisson regression used estimate after adjusting driver age, gender, change velocity during crash (∆v). Because 21% cases missing ∆v, multiple imputation values. NASS CDS weights risk nationally. Results front an LTV as striking at increased those (RR 1.37, 95% CI 1.09 1.73). A similar increase observed 1.34, 1.12 1.62). Increased also identified several regions. Conclusions Motor are significant Addressing compatibility remains important issue occupant safety.
