摘要: Land suitability evaluation is prerequisite for assessing the limitations sustainable land use planning. We used ten site specific criteria (rainfall, texture, drainage, soil depth, slope, distance to major road, nearest sugar mill, erosion hazard, risk of flooding and pH) applied weighted multi-criteria (MCE) technique in a geographic information system (GIS) environment evaluate sugarcane cultivation Bijnor district, India. The weightage all parameters was calculated through fuzzy analytical hierarchy process. Sugarcane map prepared integrating various overlay analysis. categorized as highly suitable (S1), moderately (S2), marginally (S3) unsuitable (N). analysis revealed that total cultivable largest area (61%) followed by (24%), (7%) (8%) cultivation. Nagina, Najibabad sub-districts need attention managers policy makers remove increase such areas. Only 7% Slope, depth hazard were limiting factors making Therefore, these areas should be given priority restoration efforts. study showed effectiveness integrated GIS MCE approach sugarcane.
