摘要: Can readability on small screens be improved by using Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) that adapts the presentation speed to characteristics of text? In this paper we introduce Adaptive RSVP and also report findings from a usability evaluation where ability read long short texts mobile device was assessed. balanced repeated-measurement experiment employing 16 subjects two variants were benchmarked against Fixed traditional text presentation. For all formats increased reading 33% with no significant differences in comprehension or task load. found but load significantly. Nevertheless, ratings for most factors compared RSVP. Causes, implications effects these are discussed.
