摘要: Abstract Objective This study evaluates the incidence and risk factors of complications in patients submitted to thyroidectomy for differentiated thyroid carcinoma a cancer hospital with residency training. Study design A retrospective chart review 316 consecutive who underwent carcinoma. Results Of patients, main postoperative were transient hypocalcemia 87 (27.5%), permanent 16 (5.1%), vocal cord palsy 4 (1.2%), 2 (0.6%). Neck dissection paratracheal lymph node when associated total significantly related transitory hypocalcemia. Conclusion Thyroid surgery can be performed safely medical training program under direct supervision an experienced surgeon acceptable morbidity.
