Arson in mentally ill and criminal populations.

摘要: Two groups of adult arsonists, 27 with mental illness and 23 not considered to be mentally ill, were examined for demographic features, premorbid factors, motives, family background. Almost half (46%) the ill arsonists retarded. A large proportion not-mentally-ill group committed arson as a "crime passion," 33% which occurred under influence alcohol. Both reported high absent fathers seriously disturbed relations. The relationship these acts sexual impulses was found minimal, finding that contrasts case report studies.
