摘要: Proper renal function relies on the tightly regulated development of nephrons and collecting ducts. This process, known as tubulogenesis, involves dynamic cellular molecular changes that instruct cells to form highly organized tubes epithelial which compartmentalize interstitium tubular lumen via assembly a selective barrier. The integrity diversity various epithelia is achieved formation intercellular protein complexes along apical–basal axis cells. In recent years, evolutionarily conserved family Grainyhead-like (GRHL) transcription factors encompasses three mammalian members (Grainyhead-like 1, 2, 3) has emerged group critical regulators for organ development, differentiation, barrier formation. Evidence from transgenic animal models supports presence Grainyhead-like-dependent transcriptional mechanisms promote maintenance barriers in kidney. this review, we highlight different Grhl-dependent modulate differentiation Additionally, discuss how disruptions these result impaired later life.
