Reflexiones en torno a los epónimos en medicina: presente, pasado y futuro

摘要: Physicians and all people working in the health care sector, students general public are used to using terms like Alzheimer's or Down's syndrome, often without having any idea about their historical importance. The present article reflects on some important ideas regarding eponyms medicine. They should not be considered last word but rather material for future discussion topic. A search was made articles topic PubMed (using MeSH term "Eponyms)" Embase databases Emtree "Nomenclature" combining it with other internal medicine). indexes of reference books dealing medicine's main areas were reviewed; this led compiling lists which have been totally partially absorbed into literature. Some professors also consulted respective fields expertise who reviewed such own suggestions. It may foreseen that will continue used, at least near as they play a fundamental role communication between healthcare sector.
