Streptokinase treatment of deep venous thrombosis of the lower extremity. Clinical, phlebographic and plethysmographic evaluation of early and late results.

摘要: ABSTRACT The investigation comprises 19 patients with acute deep vein thrombosis of the leg treated streptokinase. clinical symptoms rapidly subsided in 15 patients. Phlebography, performed immediately after treatment, revealed complete thrombus regression 7 cases, restoration venous flow but remnants thrombi 4 and no effect 7. One woman was not evaluated radiologically due to pregnancy. phlebographic seemed be correlated duration thrombotic symptoms. Follow-up examinations 6–50 months incident demonstrated normal phlebograms 8 patients, all whom were also free from post-thrombotic Venous occlusion plethysmography confirmed that these had a outflow capacity valvular function relevant limbs. By contrast, remaining 11 more or less extensive at follow-up phlebography, found have plethysmographic signs obstruction sometimes insufficiency. results indicate thrombolytic treatment is able give lasting anatomical functional restitution veins an leg, provided induced early enough.
