摘要: The occurrence of intercalary ‘Pilayella-type’ plurilocular sporangia in culture is reported. morphology these described and compared with the ‘Ectocarpus-type’ reproductive structures already reported from field material. taxonomic significance variation discussed that for Pilayella littoralis (L.) Kjellm. It concluded further studies are necessary before validity distinctions between genera Bachelotia can be properly assessed.
