摘要: Whether the floods experienced during last decade in Germany and other European countries are triggered or worsened by human activities has been subject of a great deal debate. Possible anthropogenic leading to increased flood risk include river regulation measures, intensified land use forestry, emissions greenhouse gases causing change global climate. This article discusses latter reviewing existing knowledge on subject. First, relevance, capabilities, limitations climate models for simulation analysis under aspects described. Special consideration is given here differences between "typical" spatial scale hydrological models. Second, observations trends variables relevant flooding issues summarized. emphasis put Rhine German catchment areas. Third, possibilities modeling different parts "cascade risk" summarized, introducing special features meteorological, hydrological, hydraulic
