摘要: Purpose: Tape stripping the outermost skin layer, stratum corneum (sc), is a popular method for assessing rate and extent of dermal absorption in vivo. Results from tape strip (TS) experiments can be affected significantly by chemical diffusion into sc during time required to apply remove all TSs, tTS. Here, we examine effects this problem on interpretation TS experimental results. Methods: Dermal 4-cyanophenol (4CP) humans was studied using assess conditions which alters Mathematical models were developed parameter estimation. Results: For an experiment with tTS > tlag (i.e., lag cross sc), permeability coefficient 4CP, Psc,v, calculated including tTS, consistent values literature 0.0019 cm/h). When not included model, Psc,v 70% smaller. Conclusions: Calculations show that concentrations TSs stripping, but if 0.3 tlag, are
