摘要: The partially reliable transport protocol can enhance the quality of services (QoS) multimedia applications because it reliably transmits some packets and unreliably other packets. Nevertheless, determining which require reliable, i.e., these will be retransmitted if they were lost, significantly influences performance applications. For determination, existing approaches adopt a fixed threshold or information from layers. This paper proposes Timeliness-aware Retransmission Mechanism (TRM) that dynamically determines lost should without any provided receiver using TRM threshold, is packet sequence number having timeliness, according to consumed rate Round-Trip Time (RTT). Thus sender retransmits timely arrive, namely, have numbers larger than this threshold. Simulation results shows PR-DCCP, protocol, with efficiently increase Decodable Frame Ratios (DFRs), represents QoS, decrease Useless Data Received (UDRRs), bandwidth waste. In simulations, achieve 8.6~10.6% DFR improvement 15.1%~17.6% UDRR on average, compared retransmission methods.
