摘要: This paper aims at drawing attention to some difficulties which may arise when using the concept of “stress-free strain” or “transformation for prediction macroscopic behaviour rate-independent rate-dependent elastoplastic polycrystals and composite materials, especially in context self-consistent homogenization procedure. These are due stress-dependence plastic viscoplastic strains, can hardly be considered as true strains”, contrary other physically well-identified (thermal, magnetic...) eigenstrains: omitting this within an elastic framework, a direct self-consistent-type derivation overall leads overestimation mechanical interphase interactions resulting stiffness. An alternative treatment, based on tangent-type linearization process, is proposed introduction fictitious strains” that do not reduce ones consequently yield softer predictions. Nevertheless, limits Hill’s approximation nonlinear modelling acknowledged discussed.
