Identification of stiffness and damping properties of thin isotropic vibrating plates using the virtual fields method: theory and simulations

摘要: The present paper proposes a novel procedure to derive both stiffness and damping parameters from forced vibrating isotropic plates. key feature is that displacement curvature fields can be measured at different times over the whole surface of plate by suitable optical technique. As consequence, virtual method (VFM) provides sets equations relating these geometric excitation (frequency, amplitude) parameters. First, theory VFM exposed and, then, validation performed on simulated full-field data. Calculations are in case plates with low high damping, resonance out resonance. It shown valid robust noise, except when low. Future work necessary develop described as conclusion.
