摘要: Nowadays, the misuse of benzodiazepines (BZDs) is a cause for serious concern among pharmacologically inexperienced patients, whether treated or untreated, that could lead to significant complications, including tolerance, dependence, and addiction. We present case report in which an Italian patient affected by anxiety disorder with BZDs presented severe dependence on BZDs. him according agonist substitution approach, switching from abused BZD slow-onset, long-acting, high potency (clonazepam), looking at methadone treatment model as paradigm. decided use clonazepam its pharmacokinetic properties. The advantage choosing long-lasting our was it led us remarkable improvement clinical situation, cessation craving, absence withdrawal symptoms, reduced anxiety, improvements social functioning, better cognition level.
