摘要: Mycotic/fungal keratitis is a suppurative, generally ulcerative infection of the cornea. The filamentous fungi, Aspergillus spp. are second leading cause mycotic keratitis, particularly in India. produce range extracellular enzymes that used to break down complex molecules and for growth reproduction, also survival on/in host organism. current study was designed with an objective screen vitro enzyme activity Fusarium isolates from patients correlate same as putative virulence factor. Extracellular viz., deoxyribonuclease (DNase), protease, lipase, elastase, keratinase, etc., produced by have key role keratomycosis hence their (n=85) activities were investigated. It found that, majority protease (n = 75; 88 % 85) followed lipase =59; 69% 85), DNase 35; 41 elastase (n=26; 31 keratinase 13; 15 85). indices (EAI) DNase, ranged between 1.01 1.98, whereas EAI varied 1.26 1.92. showed maximum 1.98 lowest value 1.01, respectively. may potential onset progression
