摘要: Background Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a powerful diagnostic tool for many diseases. In situations, the contrasts are repeatedly administrated in order to monitor and assess disease progression. Objective To investigate compare biological effects of γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticle (NP) gadolinium dimeglumine (Gd-DTPA) with high multiple doses on kidney healthy mice. Methods Polydextrose sorbitol carboxymethyl ether coated NP hydrodynamic size 68.2 nm clinically applied Gd-DTPA were employed mice intravenous administration doses. The cell viability human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) these two contrast agents measured using xCELLigence Real-Time Cell Analysis (RTCA) S16 Instrument. obtained biochemical automatic analyzer proinflammatory factor kit serum. Histopathological immunohistochemistry analysis taken tissues. Results It showed that responses elicited by NPs weaker than Gd-DTPA, evidenced relatively much lower level IL-1β, IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α, C-reactive protein (CRP) Ferritin. At same time, did not have index elevated, while did. Conclusion induced reference indicating better renal safety. Therefore, it suggested should be safer optional choice when repeated contrast-enhanced MRI necessary.
