Methods Clinical pathologic records 78 patients diagnosed primary GIST treated at our institution between 1997 2009 were reviewed. Results occurred other GI malignancies in 16.1 % (n = 13) all GIST. Of simultaneous secondary tumors, 69.2 9) remaining biliary system breast tumors. most frequently had gastric localization 6, 46.1%). Conclusion Although are uncommon neoplasms, their coexistence is rather frequent, mostly as incidental accompanying a neoplasm. Therefore, during surgery on cases surgeon needs to be careful about At same time, more detailed studies needed carcinogenesis dual coexisting (Tab. 1, Ref. 14).
